Information We May Collect

• Account information such as name, email, role, and login status.
• Wellness check-ins, prayer requests, family updates, service requests, medication reminders, and related notes that users submit.
• ZIP codes entered into the resource finder so users can open local resource directories. ZIP codes are not used to request emergency help.
• Subscription and payment status information from Square, Google Play, or Apple, such as whether access is active, canceled, past due, or expired. Payment card numbers are handled by the payment provider, not stored in this app.
• Operational records such as submission status, timestamps, staff review activity, backups, and uptime monitoring logs.

How Information Is Used

• To help staff review submissions and respond to care, wellness, family, or prayer support requests.
• To operate private client/family portals and staff dashboards.
• To provide location-based resource links when a user enters a ZIP code.
• To manage subscription access for paid users.
• To maintain security, backups, troubleshooting, and service reliability.

Safeguards

• Email alerts are designed to exclude sensitive details by default.
• Backups are created and can be copied off-site in encrypted form.
• Staff should use their own accounts and only access information needed for their role.
• Public resource links may open third-party websites. Users should review those websites' privacy practices before entering personal information.
• When health information is collected, Helping Hands Cares, LLC should maintain HIPAA-aware safeguards and signed BAAs with vendors that handle PHI.

Account Deletion

Users can request account deletion, deactivation, or data review at /account-deletion. Some information may need to be retained when required for care operations, payment records, legal obligations, compliance, security, backup integrity, or HIPAA-related responsibilities.
